Overview

The Hunnic Matinecock Tribal Nation Intelligence Agency provides non-enforcement, treaty-based intelligence and analytical capabilities designed to support sovereign, federal, state, and international partners

Our mission is to gather, interpret, and protect information that strengthens policy, security, and cultural continuity across jurisdictions.

All HMTNIA activities are conducted within the sovereign and legal framework of the Hunnic Matinecock Tribal Nation and in accordance with U.S. Federal Indian law, international treaties, and ethical intelligence standards.


Strategic Intelligence & Policy Analysis

HMTNIA produces research, assessments, and analytical briefs on:

  • Emerging domestic and global trends impacting Indigenous sovereignty and inter-governmental relations.
  • Economic, environmental, and technological developments relevant to tribal nations and allied states.
  • Security and infrastructure issues affecting communities and partner agencies.
  • Early-warning indicators for policy planning and emergency management.

Our intelligence assessments are structured to complement the analytical formats used by federal and international agencies, ensuring interoperability and professional clarity.


Inter-Governmental Liaison & Treaty Monitoring

HMTNIA acts as a neutral intelligence liaison for lawful coordination between tribal, state, federal, and international entities.

Key Functions:

  • Drafting and managing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with law-enforcement, homeland-security, and research agencies.
  • Monitoring the practical implementation of Cherokee, Mohawk, Pequot, Montaukett, and related treaties in modern governance.
  • Providing briefings and consultations on UNDRIPExecutive Order 13175, and other inter-governmental frameworks.
  • Supporting dialogue between sovereign governments for conflict prevention, cultural protection, and policy alignment.

Cultural & Information Protection

Cultural intelligence is a core national security element for Indigenous and allied nations.

HMTNIA defends:

  • Historical archives, oral records, and linguistic data.
  • Genealogical materials and intellectual property.
  • Public information integrity against misrepresentation or disinformation.
    Our analysts work closely with historians, legal experts, and archivists to ensure accuracy, respect, and lawful stewardship.

Training & Advisory Services

To strengthen collaboration and understanding, HMTNIA provides educational programs and advisory support to agencies, universities, and partners.
